The Oscars® are coming, the Oscars® are coming...

Well, well, well, it seems that Oscar^® season is fast approaching because Juancho already sent out the email to kick off all emails about the Oscars^®. From the looks of it, Juancho has got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell... nope! More Oscar^® buzz.

This year the excrement-throwing monkey will be sent to the wild to play with Dian Fossey. Thus, I will be forced to actually watch the movies before making my picks! Which reminds me, my next movie coming in from Netflix is Whale Rider. Perhaps once I see it I will realize how reckless my total disregard for common sense was when choosing Keisha Castle-Hughes for best actress last year.... or maybe not.

Friends, Clients and Benefactors:

For the first time in my 8 years of living in the US of A (or mainland, depending on your political views) I won't be coming to PR for the holidays - and by extension, it will be the first time in more than a decade that the 'roof party' will be on hiatus. I apologize for breaking with tradition. This year I've decided to stay home and spend as much time with my lovely wife as possible, get some well deserved R&R after taking two graduate courses while working full-time, and finally to clean the house, organize my stuff, and exorcise all the demons from my garage (i.e., try to throw away or sell as much of the $#!+ I've accumulated in the past 15 years. Keep an eye out on eBay - some great bargains from yours truly might be popping up... like a full-size VHS video camera circa 1995 once used to film the critically-acclaimed "Doncella"... now that will be flying off the shelf!)
